When you’re on the hunt for a new coffee bean supplier for your cafe, it can be a bit of a minefield. There are so many companies out there selling wholesale coffee beans UK so how do you know which you can trust to help you get your business up and running? Read on to hear about some of the things to look out for.

Cost Vs Quality

A higher cost doesn’t always mean a higher quality of coffee beans. Of course, some brands will have higher price points for their specialty beans but this isn’t all you should be thinking about. When looking at quality, ask about freshness of beans, the roast and where they are sourced from. Order small batches of beans to test out the quality for yourself. Don’t fall into the trap of overspending when often, the lower price point can simply be due to wholesale prices rather than a drop in quality.

Look For a One-Stop Shop

When choosing a coffee bean supplier, it can be really beneficial to look for a one-stop shop for cafe supplies. Sure, you can get all of your supplies from different companies but this can become a bit of a headache over time. Companies like Discount Coffee offer everything from cups to beans and syrups so you don’t need to shop around. Get all of your supplies in one delivery and avoid any issues.

Bulk Purchasing Deals

The best way to cut costs when looking for a coffee bean supplier is to choose bulk purchasing deals. Initially, you may want to order a lower quantity of beans to make sure that you are happy with them but after that, you can save a lot of money by investing in a bulk purchase. Many of the best coffee bean suppliers offer huge discounts on bulk beans and if you are running a busy cafe, you’ll get through these in no time at all.

Prioritise Fast and Reliable Shipping

Finally, you need to look at the service that the coffee bean supplier offers. Will you be left waiting for your delivery of coffee beans or will they get it to you in a timely manner? When you’re running a hospitality business, you need to be able to keep up with the demand and so finding a supplier who is reliable is vital. Some coffee bean suppliers offer next day delivery while others may leave you waiting.
