Monsoon Malabar Coffee Beans- from Chiswells of London (1kg)
- Chiswell's of London Monsoon Malabar coffee beans 1kg bag are a fabulous smooth sweet and spicy coffee.
During the months of June to September, India sees the monsoon season sweep through its western coastal belt. These tropical rains sweep up from the oceans around India across to the south west of the country. The Monsoon Malabar coffee beans as the name suggest are left out in the open during the monsoon season. The fresh monsoon rains wash the Monsoon Malabar coffee beans, leaving a totally unique coffee.
Our Chiswell's of London Monsoon Malabar coffee beans follow the same route as the monsoon rains. Once they reach the port of Malabar they are sorted for size and laid out on concrete patios in open-sided warehouses where they are exposed to these tropical rains.
The Monsoon Malabar coffee beans are then meticulously raked, turned and spread for 12-16 weeks whilst being closely monitored for size, colour and quality. Once they have adopted their signature pale gold colour, they are prepared for export, great Indian coffee beans !
Medium-bodied, Dark Roasted, beautifully smooth with a sweet, spicy kick, this coffee is unique to the lush Malabar Coast of Karnataka and Kerala, where it has protected status.
