From June to September, India sees the monsoon season blast through its western coastal belt. Tropical rains sweep up from the oceans around India across to the south-west of the country. Monsoon Malabar coffee beans are left out in the open during the monsoon season. The fresh monsoon rains wash the Monsoon Malabar coffee beans, leaving a unique spicy and smooth coffee.
Chiswell's of London Monsoon Malabar coffee beans follow the same route as the monsoon rains. The Monsoon Malabar coffee beans laid out on concrete patios in open-sided warehouses in the port of Malabar where they are exposed to these tropical rains.
Monsoon Malabar coffee beans are exposed to the monsoon rains for 12-16 weeks. Once they have adopted their signature pale gold colour, they are prepared for export, great Indian coffee beans!
Medium-bodied and roasted, Monsoon Malabar coffee beans have a beautifully smooth, sweet and spicy taste, these Indian coffee beans make a fantastic breakfast coffee. A truly unique coffee from the lush Malabar Coast of Karnataka and Kerala, where Monsoon Malabar coffee has protected status.
